Digital Platforms Downtime

There is planned downtime for both Moodle & Workflow during 2019-2020.

Workflow – December 2019

During the week beginning Monday 16th December essential work to refresh / renew the servers and infrastructure that underpin Workflow is scheduled to take place. There will be no changes to the Workflow platform itself.

Schedule

Workflow will be unavailable for a short period during December. Please note the below dates and advice: 

  • Monday 16 December, 5pm onwards: Workflow taken out of service 
  • Tuesday 17 December: Workflow out of service all day 
  • Wednesday 18 December: Workflow back online for testing purposes. Users are recommended not to make any significant changes or content edits during this time to avoid work being lost 
  • Wednesday 18 December, approx. 4pm onwards: Workflow can be used as normal

Workflow – June 2020

An upgrade to Workflow is scheduled to take place during the week beginning Monday 22nd June. This will include essential maintenance and functionality improvements.

  • Monday 22nd June, from 1700 –  platform offline (Prep work)
  • Tuesday 23rd – platform offline (Upgrade)
  • Wednesday 24th – read only (Testing)
  • Thursday 25th – service fully restored

Exact details will be confirmed by UAL Digital Learning nearer the time.

Moodle – July 2020

The annual upgrade to Moodle will take place during the week beginning Monday 13th July. This will include essentials maintenance and functionality improvements.

  • Monday 13th July from 1700 – platform offline (Prep work)
  • Tuesday 14th – platform offline (Upgrade)
  • Wednesday 15th – read only (Testing)
  • Thursday 16th – service fully restored
