Elena Hernandez-Martin, Interim Digital Learning Director / Digital Producer
Elena joined LCC in January 2022, after having worked in the field of digital education in large HE institutions since 2008. She studied Media in Spain and has been a freelance photographer over the years. Soon after moving to London, she started working in Higher Education as an interactive content designer/developer. Elena has a MA on Digital Media Design.
Since 2013, Elena has worked as Learning Design manager, and Senior Course and Content developer. During those years, she has managed multidisciplinary digital learning teams and projects. Her areas of expertise are interface design, UX, usability and accessibility, the application of learning design and the use of technology within a pedagogical online framework.
By working in online/blended learning Elena aims to help making education a more accessible and affordable resource.
Lee Leewis, Senior Digital Learning Coordinator
Lee began his career in the classroom, integrating technology into his lessons and training other teachers to do the same.
He later received his MA from UCL where he pursued his interest in learning design, analytics, and using technology to foster community and support instruction.
He is passionate about inclusive pedagogies, video-supported learning and the use of data to enhance learning, teaching and assessment.
Sheila Smith, Digital Learning Coordinator
Sheila has spent 20 years in the FE sector with most of them at Lambeth College and has an MA in Radio from Goldsmiths College.
As well as teaching radio, journalism, photography and media Sheila was part of the teaching and learning team.
In her role as Blended Learning Expert Practitioner, she supported staff with digital skills and tools both in the classroom, online and hybrid delivery.

Anu Roy, Digital Learning Coordinator
Anu began her career teaching in secondary schools while completing the TeachFirst programme.
She has experience with creating digital learning guidance, integrating technology into lessons and training other teachers to transition to online learning.
She is passionate about accessibility in digital learning, race & technology and researching the impact of emerging pedagogy on teaching and learning.
